Robert R. Marker of Deford, passed away at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Bob was born October 24, 1942, to the late Jacob and Marie Marker and grew up near Saginaw Bay. Bob enlisted in the navy on February 15, 1960 after graduating from Unionville High School. Growing up near the water, the Navy seemed to be a good fit for him. He lived life to its fullest, as he thought of it as a gift each day. Prior to retiring, Bob worked for Tuscola County in the Maintenance Department in Corrections for the Sheriff's Department and Marine Division for many years.
Bob enjoyed spending time with friends and family and leaves behind many cherished family members and loved ones. He will be missed and remembered by his children; Rob (Kris) Marker of Kilmanagh and Darrin (Julie) Marker of Tennessee. Grandchildren; Danielle (Jason) Manor of California, Ashley Marker of Tennessee, Aaron Marker of New York, Eric (Kathryn) Marker of Illinois and Amy Marker of Kilmanagh. Great Grandchildren; Jaxson, Brody and Liam Manor of California, siblings; Jim (Dee) Marker, Peggy (Tom) Wark, Vicky (Tom) Thorold and Sister-in-Law, Eleanor Marker. Special friends include; Val Hudson, Jerold and Joanna Bechtel, plus many nieces and nephews.
Bob was proceeded in death by his loving parents, Jacob and Marie Marker, Siblings; John Marker, Ruth McShane, Rose Luther and Kathy Gugel. Funeral services will be be held at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Visitation from 10:00 – 12:00. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In accordance with Bobs wishes, memorials may be made to the Shabbona United Methodist Church.
