Robert W. Mckie

Robert William McKie, 83, of Port Austin died Monday, August 19,2019 at Scheurer Hospital, Pigeon.

Robert was born December 29, 1935 in Detroit.  He was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen for 63 years.  Father of Robert Jr. (Debbie), Michael (Ann), Sandra (KaWing) and Joanne.  He was the delightful grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Robert received a volunteer recognition award for his dedicated service from Hume Township.  He was a dedicated member of the Pinnebog  Watershed Committee.  He continued to pursue active leadership and community involvement during retirement.  He became Hume Township's Deputy Supervisor.  Robert truly had a contentment for his life and would have had it no other way than to live in his paradise in Michigan's Thumb.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, August 22nd at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon  Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11-1 Thursday at the funeral home.
