Robert V. Miller swam into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2005.

He was born July 28, 1971 in Lansing and is survived by his mother Sharon, his father, Jerry; his sister, Kristina and her husband, Alex; his brother, Lewis and his wife, Michelle; his brother, Benjamin; four nieces, Kelsey, Ella, Julia and Helen; his grandfather, Lewis Miller; his grandmother, Emma Kohl; his step grandmother, Sally; as well as five uncles, two aunts and their families. Preceding him in death were his grandfather and namesake, Robert V. Kohl; grandmother, Ruth Miller; step grandmother, Thelma Miller and his favorite kitty, Forrestal.

Robert fought a long battle against the debilitating effects of neonatal adrenal leukodystrophy, with end complications from congestive heart failure. He loved his life, his family, his work at Pizza Hut, his room, music and worship at Shepherd of Hills Christian Church in Austin, TX. He was especially blessed by a care giving staff from Volunteers of America Inc, Southern Care Hospice, Heavenly Caregiver Services, his personal physicians, Sharon Hausman-Cohen, MD and Mary Beth Cishek, MD and well as Barbara Dahn the individual caregiver who became part of the family. He is a brain and tissue donor.

A celebration of his life took place Tuesday, September 6, at Shepherd of the Hills Christian Church. On Saturday October 8, he was laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, Elkton Michigan near his grandfather Kohl.
