Robert Millmine

Robert Lee Millmine, age 73, of Akron died on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Bay Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 26, 1936 in Keego Harbor to the late Henry and Mary (Stephens) Millmine. Bob lived and worked in the Pontiac area until his retirement when he moved to his current residence in Akron Township. He was a member of the Teamsters and worked as a diesel mechanic for Fleet Carrier Trucking Company. On November 8, 1986, he was united in marriage to Sharon (Oesterle) McQueen in Unionville. Bob enjoyed fishing, old cars, working on cars, visiting, motorcycles, and collecting just about anything, including chickens. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children, Debra Szezecinski of Pontiac, Bonnie Millmine of Pontiac, Robert D. (Brenda) Millmine of Coshocton, Ohio and Rita (Larry) Cokley of Brandenburg, Kentucky; his stepchildren, Bert Lyle McQueen of Gibraltor and Audra (Maher) McQueen of Dearborn; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; his siblings, Oliver Millmine of Pontiac, Eugene (Joan) Millmine of Pontiac, Joyce (David) Hall of Akron, Paul (Shirley) Millmine of Itasca, Illinois, Leon Millmine of Florida, William (Wanda) Millmine of Spring City, Tennessee and Nadeen (Allyn) Garazaglia of Naubinway; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and first wife, Jean, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Malik; a sister Vivian; and a brother David Millmine and his wife, Carol. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Pat Robbins officiating. Burial will be at Demorest Cemetery in Akron Township. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday, July 13, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Robert Millmine family discretionary fund.
