Bob was born to Verba and Joe Offenbecher in Union City, Michigan on March 28, 1938. He was 68 years old when he went to be with his beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Bob is survived by his wife, Karen Lee (McCormick). They were married on August 20, 1960 in Ortonville, Michigan. He graduated high school in Union City, and received a Bachelors in Medical Technology in Cleveland, Ohio. Bob was employed, until his retirement, as Medical Supervisor at Bay City Powertrain. He was a foster parent for thirty years and loved all the children in his life. In addition to his wife, Karen, he leaves his sons, Lee (Lori) Offenbecher, Mark Offenbecher; his longtime friend, fishing, and camping partner, his daughter, Lori Offenbecher; daughters, Shelley (Brian) Terbush and loving daughter, Joy (Brian) Terbush, with whom he enjoyed cooking recipes and visiting; remaining daughters, Kelly, Minta (Chris), Melody (Shane) Offenbecher and Amy Frantz; his grandchildren, Myles, Madison and Mason Offenbecher; his special granddaughters, Mya and Onna, who he took care of daily and shared his love for fishing and camping; special grandsons, Kaleb TerBush and Tyler McKeage. Bob leaves three very dear friend, Vic Lynch, his model airplane, motorcycle and metal digging buddy, Ed Hodgekison, his friend that always was like a son, and Bob Sebert, his deer hunting partner for 28 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Ann. The funeral service will be held at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Otter Lake on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Mike Herman and Lay Leader Sarah Parks officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Davison Township. Visitation will be at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Otter Lake from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be no visitation at the Collon Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to HDC Endowment with emphasis on the Caro Dining Center.
