Robert Lee Pitcole I, age 89, of Caseville, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe of pulmonary disease.
Born July 14, 1917 in Erie, Pennsylvania, Bob was the only child of Frank and Irene (Sittinger) Pitcole. Bob served in the US Navy in World War II aboard the USS California.
Bob married Barbara Watters of Taylor on October 29, 1967 in Detroit. He retired from Madison Electric of Detroit in 1984. In 1987, Bob and Barb moved from Sterling Heights to Caseville.
He was a member of the Caseville Eagles #3690, St. Roch Catholic Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies and interests include golfing, fishing, card playing, and sports.
Bob is survived by his wife Barbara; children Robert II (Hazel) of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Lawrence (Ellen) of Fenton and Susan (Joel) Casey of Sterling Heights; grandchildren Kevin, Christine, Jason, Ross, Brian, Mary, Megan and Colin; great-grandchildren Emily, Adam, Aidan, Ren, Sam, Jacob, Alex and Rossalyn; step-children Michael, Patrick and Kevin Perino; step-grandchildren Michael, Jenna, Susan, Jackie, Danny, Brian and Mark; and the mother of his children, Dorothy M. Pitcole (nee Nentwig).
He is preceded in death by his son Jeffrey.
A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville, with Fr. Kenneth Yaroch presiding. Military honors will be provided by the Caseville American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caseville American Legion.
