Robert A. Sprague

Robert A. Sprague, 81, of Bay Port, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at his son’s house in Caseville under hospice care.

Bob was born March 10, 1942 in Argyle to the late Russell and Helen (Pallas) Sprague.  He graduated from Bay Port High School and served in the US Navy.  He married Sara Dutcher on February 23, 1961; she preceded him in death August 25, 2021.

He was a commercial fisherman with his father running the boat Sea Captain and worked at Pigeon Manufacturing.  He owned R&S Quick Stop in Bay Port. He was a member of the Caseville Eagles.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and visiting with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his children Darin (Carrie) Sprague of Caseville, Dina Wise of Bay Port, and Angela (John Himmel) Sprague of Caseville; grandchildren Jeni, Daniel, Shannon, Tim, Jeremy, Brandon, Shawn, Danielle, and Jordan; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister Charlene Alexander of Bay Port. He was preceded in death by his daughters Keri and Kim and brother Gary.

Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm Saturday, February 10th at the Caseville Eagles Club, followed by a luncheon.
