Robert L. Swick of Caro, age 83, passed away at his home on Friday, August 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born January 5, 1935 in Gagetown, the son of the late Bernard and Gladys (Drew) Swick and attended Caro High School. Bob was united in marriage to the former Charlotte Dennis at Caro First Baptist Church on the afternoon of October 20, 1956, so he was able to go pheasant hunting in the morning. Spoiling the grandchildren was important to Bob and was always a first priority. When he was not spoiling grandchildren, Bob loved traveling and spending winters in Arizona with Charlotte, playing board games and euchre. Bob is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Charlotte; two sons and their spouses, Robert Lee & Cherie Swick, Jeffery Scott & Marie Swick; five grandchildren, Ashley, Kaitlin, Megan, Brandon, and Breanna Swick; two sisters and their spouses, Jeannae & Melvin Hergenreder of Pentwater and Elaine Stanfield of Williamston and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Caro First Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Herron officiating. Burial will follow at Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to American Lung Association.
