Robert William Tait

Robert W. Tait, 83, a lifelong Pinnebog area resident, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 18, 2024 surrounded by his family at Meadow Lane Assisted Living in Bad Axe.

Bob was born October 8, 1940 in Bad Axe to the late LeRoy and Florine (Pechette) Tait.  In 1958 he graduated from Elkton High School. He married Norma Ricker on November 6, 1965 in Harbor Beach.

Bob was a lifelong farmer and owned Tait Implement selling Massey-Ferguson.  He enjoyed his family, morning coffee at Gotts Corner and cold beverages at his weekly Old Geezer Club meetings.

Bob is survived by his wife Norma; daughters Tonya (Eddie) Blackstock of Bad Axe and Rebecca (Troy) Forbes of Falmouth; grandchildren Vincent and Natalie Blackstock; and sister-in-law Phyllis Tait of Kawkawlin.  He was preceded in death by all his siblings and their spouses James (Eleen), Bernard (Jeanine), Dave (Sue), Leon and Katherine (Don) Leitch.

A memorial service will be at Noon, Friday, September 27th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randall Waibel officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Private interment will be in St. Felix Catholic Cemetery in Pinnebog.
