Robert D. Tennant, 82 of Pigeon died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Covenant Hospital-Harrison in Saginaw.
Robert was born July 11, 1935 in Bad Axe to the late Edward and Violet (Bigler) Tennant. He graduated from Elkton High School in 1953. He served in the US Marine Corps in the Korean War. He married E. Jane Kellermann December 26, 1955 in Pigeon; she preceded him in death on January 30, 1987.
He was a retired rural mail carrier from the Pigeon Post Office. He had served on Pigeon Village Council and was a life member of the Pigeon VFW.
He is survived by his sons Robert (Annette) of California, Duncan (Mary Jane) of South Carolina and Steven (Mary Kay) of Pigeon; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and brothers Scott and Rodrick, both of California. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, February 23rd at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Elkton with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8 Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
