Robert H. Williams, age 35, went home to be with his Lord on March 18, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rob was born February 17, 1972 in Royal Oak, the son of Robert and Joy (Harrington) Williams and was raised in Troy before coming to the Caro area to live in 2002. Rob and his family were active in Cub Scouts at the Morse School in Troy. The family was also very involved at their church with A.W.A.N.A. and the churchs puppet ministry which involved a television show, performing at nursing homes and missions to places such as Roatan Island off Honduras. While on a mission trip to Roatan Island at the age of 13, Rob made friends faster than those who knew the language. Those who really knew Rob knew of his great love for animals and how he would fight for animal rights. Rob also loved to work on his home and the property on which it was located. Many said that Rob could accomplish more from his wheelchair than most could on their feet. Rob is survived by his soul mate, loving companion and fiancee, Cheryl Lynn Stephens. Rob and Cheryl shared a home together in Caro, Michigan. Rob is also survived by his parents, Robert W. and Joy Ann (Harrington) Williams, his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Rose Harrington, all of Caro; one sister and her husband Vicki and William McMurry and their children, Kayleen, Kory, and Kyle McMurry, all of Imlay City.
