Roberta Ann Lasiewicki of Caro, age 85, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, with her family by her side. Roberta was born July 31, 1937, in Caro, the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Spaulding) Bednorek. She graduated from Caro High School and at the age of sixteen, started working for her mother at Pearl's Beauty Shop. Roberta continued working at the shop for over fifty years until her retirement. In high school, she met Andrew M. Lasiewicki. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 8, 1955. Together, they shared sixty-one wonderful years, raised two beautiful children, and never turned down a chance to Polka. Andrew passed away on October 23, 2016. She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro and a member of the ladies auxiliary. Roberta owned her own purple Harley Davidson motorcycle and loved to drive it around town. She liked to keep busy, meeting her friends for lunch, catering, bowling, and tending to her garden. Roberta loved her colors, making sure she was always impeccably dressed. Above all, Roberta was devoted to her family. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports and always had time for her children, grandchildren, and friends. Roberta leaves to cherish her memory two children and their spouses, Mark & Jo Lasiewicki of Richwood, Texas, Audrey & Dale Rieck of Caro; grandchildren, Amanda & Ryan Hennessey of Spring, Texas, Alex Rieck and Daniel Rieck, both of Caro; great-grandchildren, Kieran and Colin Hennessey; and many friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her siblings, William Bednorek and Virginia Genung. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart with Rev. Christopher Coman officiating. Burial will follow at a later time at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Wilmot. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
