Robin Michelle (Dunn) Arrington, age 57, of Caro, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 while at her home. She was born on November 23, 1968 in Florida, the daughter of the late Gerald & Penny (Gentry) Dunn. She attended high school in Dade County, Florida, and later went on to attend college. Graduating from college was an especially meaningful milestone for Robin, as she had the unique opportunity to graduate the same year as her mother. While living in Homestead, Florida, Robin also survived the devastation of Hurricane Andrew, an experience that reflected the strength and resilience she carried throughout her life.
Robin was a strong and hardworking woman who held many different roles throughout her life. She worked as a teacher, janitor, semi-truck driver, and even a police officer. She also specialized in auto mechanics and was never afraid to take on work that required skill, determination, and a willingness to get her hands dirty. Robin was well known for her strong work ethic and took pride in doing things well.
She also had a love for computers and especially enjoyed building them. Whether working with vehicles, computers, or learning something new, Robin had a natural ability to understand how things worked and enjoyed putting that knowledge to use.
Of all the titles she carried, however, none meant more to her than being a mother. She devoted herself to her son, homeschooling him through his early elementary years and always making sure he was cared for and supported.
Caring for others came naturally to Robin. Even while waiting in line at food banks, if she noticed the volunteers could use an extra set of hands, she would park her car and step in to help distribute food to others in need. Helping others was simply part of who she was, and she never hesitated to lend a hand wherever she saw a need.
Robin was a woman of grit and determination. At first glance, she could seem intimidating, but those who knew her quickly came to appreciate her strength, wisdom, and dependable nature. She became someone many relied on and looked for in a crowded room. Robin also had a love for all animals, with an especially soft spot for dogs.
She will be remembered for her wisdom, steady nature, strong work ethic, and the strength and care she offered to those around her.
Left to cherish her memory is son and his fiancé, Michael Arrington & Chelsey Stevens; sister-in-law, Patty Harrington; aunt and uncle, Betsy & David West; friend, Tim Bodies; her dog, Max; and her cat, Chancey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Terry Dunn; and her special friends, George Rivar.
In accordance with Robin’s wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wishes of the Family, c/o Michael Arrington.
