Rocky Campbell

“Rocky” Campbell, age 32, was called home early in his life by God on Sunday, August 16, 2009. He was born July 27, 1977 in Caro, the son of William & Karen (Jacques) Campbell. He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1995 and attended Central Michigan University and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. One of Rockys goals in life was to be the first in his family to attain a four year degree, a goal he was still working on and would not obtain, falling just eleven hours short. During his life, Rocky was very active in sports and athletic activities, as well as being a martial arts participant and instructor. To hone his early athletic skills, he attended the Milt Wilcox baseball camp and the basketball camp at Purdue University. Rocky and his friends participated in many three-on-three basketball tournaments throughout the state. In sports, Rocky always wore the number 14 jersey to honor his father. He was employed at A&M Church Supply in Saginaw as a Sales Manager and was very dedicated to his work; at times walking the five miles to work when he was without an automobile and was very appreciative of the care and concern shown to him by the owners. Rocky has gone ahead to prepare the way for his son, Steven Valpredo of Mt Clemens; his parents and step-parents, Karen & Jerry Snider and William & Anne Campbell, all of Caro. Rocky is also preparing the way for his three brothers and their wives, William & Christie Hunter, Gregg & Angela Campbell, Brian & Stacy Campbell, all of Caro; one sister, Cheri Worsley and her special friend, Larry Ellison, of Midland; his maternal grandmother, Bernadine Jacques of Caro; one step-sister, Sarah Snider of California; and one step-brother, Matthew & Kristi Snider of California; many nieces, nephews and special friends, Dylan and Starr Miner of East Lansing.
