Roger L. Rondo

Roger L. Rondo, a lifelong resident of Caro, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. He was 73 years old. Roger was born November 6, 1947 in Cass City, the son of the late Elmer Charles & Ethel Jane (Wilson) Rondo. He was united in marriage with Sue Crump on November 19, 1966 in Vassar, and the couple has cherished nearly fifty-five years together. Roger was employed for over twenty years as a truck driver for Six L's in Caro, retiring in 2006. Life for Roger revolved around his family and he cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman at heart who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and birdwatching. He was also a great cook and appreciated quiet time spent in northern Michigan. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Sue Rondo of Caro; four children and their spouses, Ryan & Raquel Rondo of Mio, Wendy & David Edler of Vassar, Rusty & Sarah Rondo of Saint Helen, Mick Burza of Caro; ten grandchildren, Rian, Tod, Megan, Memory, Ty, Michael, Garet, Brena, Heaven, Rylin; two great-grandchildren, Karleigh and Jaedyn; two siblings, Jan Davis of Caro, Steve Rondo of Saint Helen; and best friends, Harley Brock and Cass Gibbs. Roger's family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow the gathering.
