Roland Budd Luther

Roland Budd Luther, age 83, of Sebewaing, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Roland was born January 26, 1934, in Unionville, to the late Russell and Beatrice (McConkey) Luther. He worked at Michigan Sugar Company in Sebewaing for 21 years. He enjoyed his career in the welding/maintenance Department. He made many lifelong friends before retiring in 1996. After retiring he enjoyed golfing, cutting and splitting wood, mowing lawns, riding his spyder motorcycle and spending time with his family.

He married Rose Marie Marker on November 14, 1953, in Unionville. She preceded him in death in 2011.

Roland was the loving father of Rhonda (Late Rich) Farver, Rodney (Brenda) Luther, Ronald (Sheila) Luther, Renee (late Richie) Koch, Randy (Lola) Luther, Robin (Stephen) Linzner and Rose (Jeffery) Finkbeiner. Grandfather to: Michael Farver, Ryan Luther, Rachel Luther, Jason Bursick, Shannon Mulligan, Levi Luther, Melissa Hemerline, Nicole Meyer, Lindsay Piche, Travis Luther, Zachary Linzner, Michael Dyer, Heather Opper, Corinna Gusa, Ron Gusa, Steven Gusa and the late Jessica Luther. He is the great grandfather of 37 and one on the way. Brother of the late Ruth Grey, the late Raymond Luther, the late Robert Luther and Geraldine Wise.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Memorial donations may be given to Heartland Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
