Romane Kay Tolliver

Romane Kay Tolliver of Caro, formerly of Bentley, MI, age 78, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at McLaren - Caro Region. She was born November 3, 1944 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Ivan and Irene (Ostrander) Weston. Romane was united in marriage with George Tolliver, Sr. on October 2, 1971 in Bay City, and the couple cherished fifty years of marriage prior to his death on March 12, 2019. Romane was loving, kindhearted, and fun. She enjoyed camping, sharing a beer (or two), dancing around the campfire, fishing, especially sucker dipping, and rummage sales. She was dedicated to staying home to raise her children and loved to spoil her grandchildren. Romane liked watching Lifetime TV, was an awesome cook, enjoyed playing Nintendo, and was the perfect "gaming granny". She is survived by her children, Tamara McKim and her boyfriend, Terry Rappuhn, "the old man", Stephanie Tolliver and her wife, Cory Durham; ten grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Andrea, Paul, Nichole, Donald, Jr., Christie, George, Jr., Daniel, and Jessica; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Reaume and her husband, Jim; one brother, William LaForest and his wife, Tina. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Sharrow; daughter, Sharlene Milliman; one sister, Donna Bradley; and one brother, Richard Weston Baird. In keeping with Romane's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
