Ronald B. Ackerman, age 86, of Unionville, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, at McLaren Bay Region.
Ronald was born June 12, 1929, in Detroit, MI. Son of the late Harold and Eva (Carpeaux) Ackerman. On October 7, 1950, he married Mary (Krause) Ackerman. She preceded him in death on November 24, 1984. He then married Lenore (Alderman) Ackerman on June 22, 1985. Ronald retired from Ford Tractor in June of 1984. He enjoyed woodworking, playing horseshoes, gardening, square dancing, hunting and fishing.
Ronald's family includes his loving wife, Lenore Ackerman of Unionville; daughters: Irene (the late Walter) Chmura of Troy, MI, Denise (Arthur) Maciejewski of South Rockwood, MI, and Terri (Lenard) Vanderhoef of Seymour, TN; step children: Ilene (Tim) Scherer of Houghton Lake, MI, Annette (Eric) Tindall of Lake Orion, MI, and Steve (Denise) Armstrong of Bay City, MI; sister, Carol (Dean) Ellicott of Owendale; his late brother, Melvin Ackerman (survived by wife Clara of Caro, MI); 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 2-6pm.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy at 12noon.
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of your choice.
