Ronald E. Babisch age 71, of Grant Twp near Owendale died Sunday evening, October 12, at Scheurer Hospital, Pigeon.
He was born August 21, 1943 in Warren Twp. Macomb Co. to the late Peter and Sophie (Sendrovicz) Babisch. Ron grew up in the Warren area, working at Massey-Ferguson and later driving truck. He moved to Owendale in the early eighties and started Babisch Home Maintenance, a small construction company. In 2003, he retired for health reasons.
On November 28, 1987, he was united in marriage to Nancy L. (Mosey) Bouverette at Faith Gospel Tabernacle near Bad Axe and made their home in Grant Twp.
Ron was a man of God and a minister as well. He traveled as an evangelist and also filled the need for ministry at both the Huron and Tuscola County jails spreading the faith to those inside.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing with the kids, mission projects, helping others and especially family time.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; children, Lynn (Mike) Capehart of Fenton, Eric Babisch of Hermosa Beach, CA, Shanna (Ricardo) Gomez of Caro, Jerome (Nicole) Bouverette of Caro and Dustin Bouverette of Swartz Creek; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and his brother, Richard (Fran) Babisch of Shelby Twp.
Preceding him in death were three children, Ronald Jr., Christopher and Lori Lynn Babisch and a grandson, Joshua Pachecho.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 15, at the Community Wesleyan Church, Elkton. Bishop Scott Tysick will officiate with cremation to follow.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
