Ronald “Borody” James Borodychuk of Caro, age 73, passed away suddenly on the morning of Friday, November 24, 2023 at his home. Borody was born March 25, 1950 in Cass City, the son of the late Alexander and Evelyn (Hool) Borodychuk. He attended Unionville High School and graduated with the class of 1968. Borody worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years at Mean Industries, Inc. in Vassar, Michigan Sugar Company, and La Buddy. He finished his working career at the age of sixty-seven, working as a CNA for Fisher Senior Care & Rehab Center. On August 23, 1980, Borody married the love of his life, the former Linsey Dee Karpovich on her family homestead in Watrousville. Borody was very active; he was a 4-H Leader, a former FFA member, the former Vice President for Tuscola County Normal, and a member of the Michigan Dairy Goat Association for over forty years. He loved his time spent in the garden, tending to his small livestock farm, and most recently he could be found foraging for herbs, flowers, and berries to make different tinctures and medicinal remedies. Borody was a big family man and absolutely adored his wife Linsey, his children, and grandchildren.
Borody leaves to carry on his legacy, his loving wife of forty-three years, Linsey; children, Shannon (Justin Ill) Borodychuk of Watrousville, DeeDee Borodychuk of Wasilla, Alaska, and Zandy Borodychuk of Fairgrove; grandchildren, Landon and Leyton Borodychuk-Cherniaski, Madison Haddeling, Zadi Borodychuk, Jade, Ruby, and Onyx Spohn, Cole Theaker, Finn and Aryx Borodychuk; great-grandchildren, Grey Theaker and one on the way; beloved dogs, Guya and Heyu; siblings, Kerry & Linda Borodychuk, Leatha Cudworth, Janet Robarge, Diane Mathis, and Shelly & Kevin Youngert; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Borody was preceded in death by his siblings, James Borodychuk, Karl Borodychuk, Alex Borodychuk, Michael & Karen Borodychuk; and brothers-in-law, Dale Cudworth and Giddeon Robarge.
