Ronald Ernest Fields

Ronald Ernest Fields of Caro, age 66, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at his home. Ron was born February 26, 1957, in Caro, the son of the late Burton W. and Norma Isabel (Patterson) Fields.

Ron is survived by five brothers, John, Paul, Jeffrey, Kenneth, and David Fields. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Burton “Rocky” and Phillip Fields.

In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Ron’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family, c/o Jeff Fields, or a charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Ron.
