Ronald Issac Henry, 81, of Sebewaing, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Tendercare in Cass City after a long illness.
Ron was born April 8, 1929 in Royal Oak to the late Issac and Marian (Gilboe) Henry. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1947. On May 21, 1977 he married Patsy O. Kildow at Calvary Baptist Church in Caseville.
Ron began coming to the Caseville area in the 1960's and moved there permanently in the mid-1970's before moving to Sebewaing in 1980. He retired from Active Industries in Sebewaing in 1981. He ran Henry’s Family Restaurant in Unionville until 1983. He and Patsy moved away from the area and then returned to Sebewaing several years ago. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and will be missed for his quick humor.
He is survived by his wife Patsy; children Mary Lou (Tim) Schubert of Florida, Ron (Gloria) Kildow of Pontiac, Sue (Lee Jahr) Kildow of Sebewaing, Cathy (Kevin) Stormzand of Caseville, Rodger (April) Kildow of Missouri, Paula (Mark) Guster of Caseville, Linda (Troy Gingrich) Stauffer of Bad Axe and LeaAnn Stanley of Florida; 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara (Gary) Donovan of Madison Heights; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Frances in 1976; brothers Melvin, Leonard, Vaughn and Robert; sister Shirley Hill; and grandson Steven Dionne.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, March 19th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Chaplain Karen Bouverette officiating. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery, Caseville.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
