Ronald Douglas St. John

Ronald D. St. John, 51, of Caseville, died Friday, February 27, 2015 at his home.

Ron was born January 20, 1964 in Royal Oak to the late Michael and Donna (Ainsley) St. John. He was a 1982 graduate of Lamphere High School in Madison Heights. On June 18, 1983 he married Denise K. Kilbourn. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2014, too young, and he missed her dearly since.

Together they have lived in Caseville since 1992 and owned Shakers Ice Cream, a summertime Caseville tradition where he could visit with old friends and make new ones, including many local youths who worked for him. His greatest interest was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter Amanda (August) Zelno of Bay City and son Scott of Caseville; grandchildren Peyton, Augie, Devin and Elli; sister Dawn (Kenneth) Urick of Caseville and brother Jerry (Connie) of Linwood; and nephew James (Amanda) Urick of Elkton.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, March 2nd at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-6 Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
