RoseMarie M. Betson, age 88, died peacefully on October 19, 2018, at her home in Unionville. RoseMarie was born on March 29, 1930, in Detroit, one of eighteen children, born to Thomas Joseph and Agnes (Doust) Charette.
On September 23, 1950, RoseMarie married the love of her life, Robert A. Betson. They lived in Lake Orion where Robert ran a Family Gas Station next to his dad's grocery store, where she would be volunteering where needed.
RoseMarie was a member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Caro, and the American Legion Post #293 Auxiliary of Sebewaing, and an active volunteer.
RoseMarie is survived by her children: Robert J. Betson of Unionville, Thomas (Nancy) Betson of Sebewaing, Lynn (Olin) Hemerline of Unionville, and special daughter, Amy (Steve) Kamrad of Unionville; 8 grandchildren: Ken (Charlene) Koch of Manton, Dan (Kim) Koch of Lake City, Kim (Steve) Deneen, Kristine (Chris) Alexander, Tom (Ashley) Betson all of Sebewaing; Bryan Hemerline (fiancé Janie Diegel) of Caro, Jason (Melissa) Hemerline of Unionville, Allie and Andrew Betson of Bay City. Special granddaughters, Gabriella and Summer Kamrad of Unionville; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous loving relatives and friends.
RoseMarie was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert; 2 daughters, Judy Koch and Sharon Betson; along with her parents and 17 siblings.
A memorial visitation and service will all take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 2pm. Fr. Jerzy Dobosz from St. Christopher's Catholic Church will be officiating. A private burial service will take place at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to the family or the American Legion Post # 293 Auxiliary.
