Rosemarie Mcelreath

Rosemarie McElreath, 88, of Caseville, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Rose was born December 25, 1934 in Detroit to the late Jasper and Vita (Vitale) Culmone.  She graduated from Detroit Denby High School in 1953.  She married Charles McElreath on August 22, 1959 at St. Juliana Catholic Church in Detroit.

Rose retired from Warren Consolidated Schools as a bookkeeper in 1996 when she moved to Caseville.  She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish where she had worked in the church office.  She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.  Rose enjoyed taking care of her family.

Rose is survived by her husband Charles; sons Charles (Shelli) of Warren and John (Ellen) of St. Paul, Minnesota; grandchildren Abby, Toni, Timothy and Meghan (Trevor); sister Grace Orlando of Florida and sister-in-law Bernie Culmone of Rochester.  Rose was preceded in death by her brother Phillip Culmone and sister Catherine (Jerome) Galante.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00am Monday, May 22, at St. Roch Catholic Church with Fr. George Amos presiding.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Noon to 5:00pm Sunday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with a 4:00pm rosary.
