Rosemary Dillon of Caro, age 95, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. Rosemary was born February 6, 1923 in Carson City, the daughter of the late Harold & Marie (Chase) Hyde, and graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1941. She was united in marriage with William Patrick Dillon on February 14, 1941 in Gagetown, and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2000. Rosemary owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years before taking a fulltime position as a beautician at the Caro Regional Center. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Caro and the Sacred Heart Alter Society. Rosemary was a natural artist and enjoyed painting and ceramics. Her spare time was also spent reading, completing crossword puzzles, playing bridge, and spending time on the family boat at Sunset Marina. Rosemary's true happiness was found with her family, and she cherished holiday meals and time spent with them. She will be remembered as a tireless soul that never slowed down. Rosemary is survived by two sons, William Dillon, Jr. of Caro, Thomas Dillon and his wife, Roxanna, of Caro; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Danielle & Dr. John Vacanti of Caro, Michael Dillon & Lisa Blanton of Bay City, Susan & Scott Bates of Caro, Michelle & Ray Seigo of Grand Ledge, Timothy & Patty Dillon of Traverse City, Carey Gray of DeWitt, Amy & Dave Shanks of Lansing; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews whom she greatly adored. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemary was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Juliana Dillon; and three siblings, Naomi Barnes, James Hyde, and Martha Wysocki. In keeping with Rosemary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Christopher Parish.
