Rosemary Elizabeth Hoffman, age 84 of Caseville, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe after a short illness.

Rosemary was born July 27, 1923 in Detroit to the late Alex and Mary (Walsh) Kennedy. She married Robert John Hoffman on November 15, 1969 in Southgate, Michigan. Robert preceded her in death on March 13, 1992.

In 1987 she retired after 20 years at Kelly Services as an Accountant. Prior to that, she worked at Formcraft Tool for 21 years. She had summered in Caseville since her youth, and owned her own cottage here since 1973. In 1993 she moved permanently to Caseville (Lake Township) from the Detroit area.

She was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church, Sandy Shores, the Bad Axe Senior Citizens, the League of Catholic Women, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and a past state officer of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Rosemary is survived by her sister Mary Ann Connolly of Westland, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, cousins and other friends and family that she touched throughout her long life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, as well as brothers Michael, Patrick, Francis, Joseph and Thomas Kennedy.

A funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Felix Catholic Church in Pinnebog. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and from 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of the Mass at church. There will be a scripture service at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
