Rosemary Edith Raymond

Surrounded by the love of her family, Rosemary Raymond of Caro, age 65, passed away on April 8, 2022 at home after a brief illness. Rosie was born May 12, 1956 in Caro, the youngest child of the late Peter and Genevieve (Guild) Matuszak. She was a 1974 graduate of Caro High School and a lifelong resident of Tuscola County. In 1978, she married her soulmate, Gregory Raymond and shared 43 years together and countless memories. Rosie was an exceptionally hard worker, had an enduring personality that made everyone feel like they belong, and was administratively gifted. She was among the first employees to be hired in 1984 by Caros newly organized Thumbody Transit Service where she spent the next 29 years as a driver, dispatcher, and administrative coordinator before retiring in 2014. Upon retirement, Rosie was able to do what she loved most, care for her home, create beautiful flower gardens, hunting, painting, and spoiling every animal that was dropped off or strayed into her “outside” sanctuary. Rosie leaves behind a legacy of gentleness and love that will long endure. Left to cherish her life and memory is her loving husband, Greg Raymond; one brother, Jack & Kathy (Jickling) Matuszak of Caro; two sisters, Marie & Gary Van Wormer of Bay City, and Nancy Matuszak of Caro; brothers-in-law, Dave (Sandra) Raymond of Saginaw, Kim Raymond of Deford, and Charles Nicol, along with his daughter, Angel Nicol, of Deford; sister-in-law, Deborah Raymond of Cass City; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life for Rosie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Celebration at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held at Brentwood following the service.
