Roxann Lynn Smith

Roxann Lynn Smith of Caro, age 59, departed this life on Monday, November 23, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Roxann was born October 9, 1961 in Pontiac, the daughter of Darrold & Sandra (Beebe) Lipe. She attended Caro Community Schools and was a dedicated employee of the Lighthouse Rehabilitation Center in Caro for twenty-five years and loved her coworkers as family. Roxann was a member of the Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church in Caro. It was her profound love of God and abiding faith that sustained her during a long and courageous battle with cancer. Roxann was united in holy matrimony with Brian Smith at her beloved church on July 10, 2004. Although Roxann had many loves, nothing was as special to her as time spent with her grandchildren who will miss her immensely. She also enjoyed horses, trail riding, and camping, especially on her favorite horse, Jack. Roxann's kind, loving, and generous personality will be missed by the countless many that were blessed to know her. Her beautiful life will be cherished in the hearts of her husband, Brian Smith of Caro; children and their spouses, Jamie & Greg Hormel, Jason Stein, Eric & Nicole Creason, Zachary Smith, Alyssa Smith; grandchildren, Keagen Kolacz, Payton Kolacz, Addison Lipe, Brant Trea, Willow Creason, Sophia Milliron; parents, Darrold & Sandra Lipe; siblings and their spouses, Darrold & Dawn Lipe, Jeff & Dawn Lipe, Terry & Shelby Russell; sisters-in-law, Judy Smith, Sherryl & Steve Childers; mother-in-law, Beverly Smith; and many nieces and nephews. Roxann was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maynard & Grace Beebe, Dorothy & Theodore Powell. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Caro United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Butler officiating. Burial will follow at the Ellington Township Cemetery.
