Roy Bruce Moening, 88, of Caseville passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Bruce was born May 2, 1933 in Lansing to the late Bernard J. and June Elizabeth (Swift) Moening. He served in the US Army in Germany from 1953 to 1955 as a medic. On November 9, 1963 he married Mary Ann Miller in Farmington; she preceded him in death on September 22, 2019.
Bruce retired in 1998 as a master mechanic from Massey Cadillac in Plymouth, then moved from South Lyon to Caseville. He was a life member of Free and Accepted Masons and the Caseville Eagles Club.
Bruce is survived by his children Deborah Balai of Duluth, Georgia, Cynthia Adkins of Wyandotte, and Lisa (Phil) Solatka of Lockport, Illinois; grandchildren Samantha Solatka, Luke Solatka, and Amanda Adkins; sisters Bettie Morrissey, Virginia (Gordy) Maurer, Phyllis Clinton and brother Bill Moening; sister-in-law Judy Ginter and brother-in-law Robert (Pat) Miller; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Beilfuss.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, November 9th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon with Rev. Reggie Courliss officiating. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am Tuesday until the time of the service.
