Royal M. Ross, 92, of Caseville died at his daughter’s home in Lennon on Thursday, January 2, 2020 while on hospice care.
Royal was born July 13, 1927 on the family farm in Lake Twp to the late James and Viola Ross. He graduated from Elkton High School. He married Delores I. Atwood on September 28, 1957 in Flint; she preceded him in death May 4, 2012.
He retired as a journeyman construction welder for Tower Automotive after 60 years with the same company. He was a priest with the Caseville RLDS Church.
He is survived by his children Phillip (Marissa) of Kansas City, MO, Denise “Angel” (Tracy) Ball of Lennon and David of Venice, Florida; grandchildren Bobby, Justin and Marlisa; and brother Gerald (Doris) Ross of Caseville. He was preceded in death by his sister Phyllis St. Clair and brother Ronald Ross.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, January 6th at Champagne Funeral Chapel with Tim Ross and Elder Troy Piper officiating. Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-5pm Sunday and one hour before the service on Monday. There will be a celebration of life service at 5:00pm Sunday to share stories and memories.
