Ruby M. Dunevant of Lake Wales, Florida, formerly of Caro, passed away at the age of 77 on December 31, 2008 after a brief battle with cancer. Ruby and her husband, Jim, lived in Caro for many years before moving to Lake Wales twenty-two years ago. Ruby is survived by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Jim; her three children, Stan Dunevant of Lake Wales, Florida, Deb (Ted) Powell of Kingston, and Carol (Randy) Stephens of Caro; seven grandchildren, Robert (Kay) Fetting, Adam (Jodi) Fetting, Scott (Amy) Fetting, Amy and Chad Stephens, Stanley Jr. and James Dunevant; and five great grandchildren, Kyle Fetting, Coby Fetting, Lucas and Ashton Fetting and Ashley Dunevant. Ruby was one of nine siblings, born to Alvin and Pauline Sanders. Ruby was an avid bowler. During the 1970s she was one of the best bowlers in the area and won the Tuscola County Bowler of the Year title twice. She loved golf and excelled at the sport. Her favorite golf course was here in Caro at the Caro Golf Club. She also enjoyed quilting, knitting and crocheting items for her family, reading, playing cards and bingo and especially spending time with her family and her bird, Sammy.
