Russell W. Glasgow

Russell W. Glasgow of Caro, age 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Cartwright Hospice Center in Saginaw, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Russell was born April 27, 1952 in Pontiac, the son of the late George and Bonnie (Deem) Glasgow. He was united in marriage with the former Darlene Matyas on November 25, 1977 in Owosso, and she survives him. Russell was most recently employed by the State of Michigan for twelve years as a Technical Weatherization Specialist. He was a member of the Caro Gun Club and served as a board member for Christmas in July. Russell's door was always open and his sons' friends quickly became his own. His generous spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched. In his spare time, Russell enjoyed shooting and fishing, and in his younger years riding dirt bikes with his brother, Gene. Russell is survived by his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Darlene Glasgow of Caro; two sons, Alex and Andrew Glasgow, both of Ypsilanti; his siblings and their spouses, Marie & Rocco Mutone of Tom's River, New Jersey, Gene & Marsha Glasgow of Holly, Bruce Glasgow of Ypsilanti, Brent & Michelle Glasgow of Reed City, Brad Glasgow of Central Lake; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Poorman. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Todd Gould officiating.
