Russell L. "Rock" Spohn

Russell L. "Rock" Spohn of Lapeer, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital in Lapeer. Rock was born July 25, 1963 in Genesee, the son of the late LeRoy and Nancy Anonka (Hamilton) Spohn. A peaceful warrior, a student of the martial arts Rock worked as a handyman throughout the area doing whatever was needed to be done. He also enjoyed playing electric guitar and spending time with family. Left to cherish Russell's memory are his son, Luke Spohn of Lapeer, and daughter, Sara and her husband, Gordon Skinner of Cass City; seven grandchildren, Genevieve, Isabel, Gordon, Jade, Ruby, Onyx, and Cole; two sisters, Tammy Harris of Marlette, Suellen Barnhard of Colorado; two brothers, Jace Sears and his wife Roxanne of Kingston and Trace Sears Croswell; as well as many nieces and nephews. A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date. The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro.
