Russell G. Wilson, 80, of Mt. Clemens, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Gladwin Pines Nursing Center in Gladwin.

Russ was born August 12, 1945 in Detroit, to the late James Russell and Martha (Hicks) Wilson. He was a police officer in Utica early in his career. He owned his own trucking business and worked for Anderson Cook. He was a hard worker, and took pride in his home and yard.

Russ is survived by his children: Mark of Norfolk, VA, Heidi Theisen of Elkton, Holly (Phillip) Crown of Elkton, April of Unionville, Bradley (Melissa) of New Baltimore, Jacob (Paula) of Jeddo and Todd (Ali) of El Paso, TX; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings Winifred (Glenn) Haskins of Ray Twp, James Eugene of Washington Twp, and Martha Jo (Timothy) Regnerus of Shelby Twp. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Katherine Stockford.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ransford Funeral Home- Pigeon with Rev. Ean Green officiating. Russ's family will be present to receive visitors the morning of the service from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the discretion of the family, c/o Heidi Theisen.
