Ruth Bragg

Ruth Ann Bragg, age 80, passed away peacefully at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility on Friday, September 19, 2008, following a lingering illness. She was born August 25, 1928 in Millington, the daughter of the late Charles R. & Charlotte (Brown) Monroe, coming to the Caro area with her parents as a young girl. Ruth Ann was united in marriage with Charles N. Bragg on August 28, 1949 in Caro. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2003. Ruth Ann was a member of the Colwood United Brethren Church of Caro. She was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family, being with her friends and extended family, embroidering and quilting. Ruth Ann is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Kenneth Monroe of Marlette, Raymond Bragg, Sharon & Fred Thiemke, Marilyn & Duane Lockwood, all of Caro, Dennis & Vickie Bragg of Trenary, MI, Gerald Bragg of Saginaw, Gordon & Valerie Bragg of Caro; twenty-four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters, Russell Monroe of Fairgrove, Leona Cook of Vassar, Norma Hack of Caro, Arlene Heinlein of Caro, Vickie Rosenberry of Lake City and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert and Donald Monroe and a daughter-in-law, Mary Bragg.
