Ruth D. Brenner

Ruth Diane Brenner , age 76, of Sebewaing, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at McLaren Thumb Region in Bad Axe.

Ruth was born in Pigeon on September 16, 1946, to Rudolf and Ella (Albrecht) Ziel. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville. She attended St. John Lutheran School in Kilmanagh until the 8 ^th grade, and graduated from Laker High School in 1964. She attended Bay City School of Business and worked for 8 years at the Co-Op Elevator as a secretary. She married Douglas Brenner on October 24, 1970 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and playing bingo.

Ruth is survived by her son, John C. Brenner; step daughter, Sally (Jamie) Collins; 2 grandchildren, Roland W. Hubert, III (Cheryl) and Sierra (Matt) Jones; 5 great grandchildren; siblings: Shirley Deering, Robert Ziel, Ellen (John) Tolloff and Janet Deering; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husband Doug; siblings: Roger Ziel, Sharon Ziel and Delores Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Harold Deering, Ralph Deering, James Smith and Lucille Ziel.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 12pm to 3pm, at the Sebewaing Sportsman's VFW Hall.
