Ruth A. Chiotti, age 85, of Bay Port, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. Ruth was born February 10, 1927 in Kilmanagh to the late Henry and Frieda (Woldt) Blasi. She married Albertus John Chiotti on February 15, 1947 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. Albertus passed away August 27, 2001. Ruth enjoyed gardening, flowers, family gatherings, reading cook books, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren. She especially loved her life on the farm.

Ruth is survived by her children: Joyce McGathy of Bay Port, MI, Thomas Chiotti of Freeville, NY, Jean (Roger) Maynard of Lapeer, MI, Randy (Cindy) Chiotti of Port Hope, MI, Jill (fiancé John Bruce) Terrian of Bay Port, MI, Mary (Kevin) Sting of Bay Port, MI, Mark (Ilene) Chiotti of Bay Port, MI, and Tammy (Jerry) Schweitzer of Pigeon, MI. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Survived by sisters-in-law: Frances Schramke and Onnallee Chiotti.

Ruth is preceded in death in death by her parents: Henry and Frieda Blasi, husband: Albertus J. Chiotti, sisters: Lucille DeLisle and Jean Rundell, granddaughter: Michelle Chiotti and one great granddaughter: Presley Gwisdalla.

Visitation on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 4-8pm and Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 2-8pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Sebewaing.

Funeral service on Friday, June 8, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Pigeon. Visitation at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial at St. John Lutheran Cemetery – Kilmanagh, in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Pigeon or Scheurer Hospital – Long Term Care Facility.
