Ruth Eldine Fritz age 89, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Home Sweet Home in Pigeon.

She was born September 3, 1926 to Edward and Emma (Schulz) Voss of Pigeon, and graduated in 1944 from Pigeon High School. She married Keith Fritz on June 29, 1946 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Berne, where she was a member all her life. Keith preceded her in death on August 20, 2007.

Ruth farmed along with her husband Keith throughout the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she always had time for other people.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Dennis) Irion and Janet Hewitt, both of Pigeon; eight grandchildren and their spouses; 15 great-grandchildren; two step grandsons; four great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rose Voss; brother-in-law, Hazen Fritz; aunt Edna Schulz; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Edward and Emma Voss; brother, Vern Voss; brother-in-law Milton (Verniece) Fritz; sisters-in-law Ilene (Nelson) Holland, Marilyn Fritz and Arlene Fritz.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Berne, with Rev. James A. Gorsegner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials for Ruth Fritz may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice, American Cancer Society, or Alzheimer's Association.

Thursday, December 3 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.

AND AT ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, BERNE:
Friday, December 4 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
