Ruth Lasiewicki

Ruth Bertha Lasiewicki, age 80, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw. She was born August 7, 1931 in Caro to the late Fred and Bertha (Tetil) Schilk. On August 8, 1953, she was united in marriage with Anthony Lasiewicki, Jr. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro, he preceded her in death on November 28, 2010. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Caro as well as a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. In addition to church, she enjoyed crocheting and her grandchildren. Surviving Ruth are five children, Dale (Janet) Lasiewicki of Caro, Marcia (Robert) Rabideau of Caro, Michael Lasiewicki of Caro, Mechelle Lasiewicki of Caro and Ruth Ann Lasiewicki of Midland; seven grandchildren: ten great-grandchildren and a great-granddaughter on the way; her sister, Lucille Cherniawski of Caro; a brother-in-law, Paul Dost of Frankenmuth, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frieda Dost and a brother-in-law, John Cherniawski. The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Cameron Steele officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
