Ruth G. Roberson

Ruth G. Roberson of Caro, age 81, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. She was born April 4, 1934 in Wiesbaden, Germany, the daughter of the late Karl and Wilhemina (Kreis) Weiss. Ruth was united in marriage with Wheeler Hunter Roberson on December 8, 1956 in Germany, and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1989. Ruth was born, educated and married in Germany prior to coming to the United States. As a military family, they moved to the United States in April of 1957. She was employed as a customer service manager at Walmart in Killeen, Texas in the 1980's. She traveled for most of her life and in the early 1990's, she made her home in Caro. Ruth enjoyed knitting, watching TV, sewing, gardening, walking and for some time, swimming. She attended St. Christopher's Parish (Sacred Heart site), and was a member of the Caro Women of the Moose and the Eagles. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters and their spouses, Richarda Bayer of Gerolzhofen, Germany, Peggy & Pastor Lon Anthony of Virginia, Sharon & John Frazee of Caro; five grandchildren, Jason & Mary Frazee of Caro, Dominik Bayer & Nadine of Geo, Germany, Christopher Frazee & Heather of Saginaw, Alan Hill of New London, Connecticut, Megan & Matthew Bartolowits of Caro; five great-grandchildren, Micheal, Loagine, Richelle, Ashlynn and Amber; five siblings; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by one sibling. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. A service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Lon Anthony, Ruth's son-in-law, officiating.
