Ruth Roller

After a long, productive and happy life Ruth Roller passed away peacefully on October 2nd at age 95. She lived independently and actively to the end. As the center of her family, she enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards and games. She loved to travel and read and enjoyed time with her neighbors and volunteering at St. John's Lutheran Church and Share and Care in Fremont. Her generous and warm spirit will be dearly missed. Ruth married Loren F. Roller (deceased in 1996) in 1949. They raised their three daughters in Unionville, MI where Loren served as a "field man" for the H.J. Heinz Company until 1966 when they moved to Fremont. Ruth is the beloved mother of Lenore (Don) Oswald of Angleton, TX and twins Jan Roller (David Abbott) of Cleveland, OH and Joy Roller of Cleveland Heights, OH. She has six grandchildren, Philip (Angela) Oswald, Leah (Dimitri) Villarreal, Reagan Oswald, Maxwell Abbott, Henry (Hong Yan) Abbott, Samuel (Arushi Tomar) Abbott and six great-grandchildren, Maryn Villarreal, Hayden Villarreal, Ryan Villareal, Kendal Oswald, Collin Oswald and Youyi Hong Abbott. Visiting hours will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home located at 900 North St. in Fremont from 5:30-7:30 pm on Thursday, October 21stand a memorial service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 212 N. Clover St. in Fremont on Friday, October 22nd with visitation beginning at 10:30 am and the service at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at 11:00 am at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing, MI. All attendees except children must be vaccinated. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
