Ruth E Walsh

Ruth E. Walsh, 83, of Pigeon, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care Unit.

She was born July 25, 1932 in Elkton, to the late Bert and Elsie (Forster) Posade.

Ruth was a 1950 graduate of Elkton High School and was employed several years at the Elkton Lumber Yard and retiring from Thumb National Bank and Trust Company in Pigeon.

Surviving are her children, Patti (Ron) Damm of Pigeon, Kathy (Randy) Konieczny of Bay City, Steve (Martha) Walsh of Vassar, Dave Walsh of Port Huron; grandchildren, Kristen (Matt) Wilcox of Lapeer, Dr. Kate (Dr. Bob) Starr MD of Franklin, Dr. Becky Walsh MD of Troy and Maggie Walsh of Port Huron; great granddaughter, Morgan Wilcox of Lapeer; brother, Bud (Lucille) Posade of Elkton; and sister, Sharon Nehring of Elkton; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Walsh.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, September 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkton. Reverend Rodney Schwab, pastor will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 25, in the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton and at the church after 10 AM Saturday.

Memorials in memory of Ruth may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care Unit.

Ruth’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care for the loving and excellent care she received while a resident there.
