Ruth Ann Wiederhold age 59, of Grant Twp. south of Elkton, died Wednesday morning, April 21, at her home under hospice care with her family gathered by her bed side.
She was born March 8, 1951 in Bad Axe to the late Lyle and Rose (Matthews) Snay.
Ruth moved to the Pontiac area in her youth where she graduated from Pontiac Northern High School in 1969. Shortly after high school she returned to the Bad Axe area.
On October 7, 1972, she was united in marriage to Larry Wiederhold at the Elkton Missionary Church. She raised her family and has lived in the Elkton area all her married life.
Ruth was a very active member and a Sunday school teacher at the Elkton Missionary Church, as a deaconess several years. She enjoyed sewing and reading and loved playing games and cards with her children and grandchildren. She also liked just riding around in the family jeep.
Surviving are her husband, Larry; four children, Ann (Jason) Cole of Elkton, Andrew (Amy) Wiederhold of Unionville, Jill (Brad) Dorsch of Bad Axe and Kimberly (Nick) Roth of Grant Twp.; ten grandchildren, Abagail, Nathan, Cody, Caleb, Brady, Joshua, Ryan, James, Logan, Elizabeth and one on the way, Baby Dorsch; her sister, Linda Faupel of Bad Axe and her life long best friend, Evelyn Smith of Bad Axe.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, April 24, at the Elkton Missionary Church. Pastor Reggie Courliss will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 9 PM Friday and at the church after 10 AM Saturday.
