Ruth Ann Yonke of Caro, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Heritage Hill with her family by her side. Ruth Ann was born July 29, 1933 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Clare and Frieda (Greenleaf) Schwaderer. She attended Cass City High School and graduated with the class of 1951. On November 30, 1968, Ruth Ann was united in marriage to the love of her life, Fred Yonke. Their marriage was blessed with nearly fifty-five years and countless memories. Ruth Ann was a dedicated member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. She was an amazing homemaker and always loved to cook and bake for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth Ann enjoyed tending to her garden, reading, and going dancing with Fred. Her favorite thing to do was travel to Mexico and go on cruises. Above all else, Ruth Ann loved the time spent with her family, they were the lights of her life.
Ruth Ann leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Fred Yonke of Caro; children, Butch Tait of Essexville, Mark Tait of Cody, Wyoming, Greg (Rene’) Tait of Caro, and Susan (Tom) Mynsberge of Grand Haven; seven grandchildren, Carrie (Joe) Luana, Brandon (Daliah) Tait, Cameron Tait, Emily (Nathan) Grenfell, Brooke (Justin) Morse, Ryan (Adrianne) Mynsberge, Dr. Ashley-Ann (James) Storms; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Susan Schwaderer; and several friends. In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her siblings, Harold Schwaderer and Marilyn (Ralph) Elvy.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September, 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. Rev. Cameron Steele will officiate with burial following at Columbia Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her 1:00 p.m. service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the Tuscola County Animal Shelter.
