Sally Ann Elston

Sally A. Elston, age 70, of Sebewaing, passed away January 4, 2025, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.

Sally was born in Cass City, MI on December 14, 1954, to Thomas Sr. and Constance (Bourdlaies) Seurynck. She graduated in 1973 from Owendale-Gagetown High School. On May 8, 1976, she married Douglas W. Elston. For many years, Sally worked at USA Middle School as a Para-professional and as an Assistant in their Library, then in "retirement" she worked at the Sebewaing Township Library. She was an avid crafter, always creating homemade holiday and birthday cards for friends and family. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, painting, gardening, and any other craft she could try. She loved watching birds in her yard and tracking ones that came back every year. Most of all, her pride and joy were her grandchildren. She attended as many of their events as possible.

Sally is survived by her husband, Douglas Elston; three children: Kellie (Matthew) Buss, Christopher (Dacia) Elston, and Troy Elston; grandchildren: Morgan & Macy Buss, Madyson, Keegan, Lincoln, Amara, Brooklynn, & Scarlet Elston, Brynleigh & Declan Elston; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Jr. and Sharada Seurynck; and many nieces and nephews.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Sr. and Constance (Bourdlaies) Seurynck; and sibling: Patrick.

The visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Inc., in Sebewaing, from 3 – 8 pm.

Additional viewing will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 10-11am with the service following at 11 am. Pastor Michael Boyer will be officiating. The burial will be private in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the Sebewaing Township Library.
