Sally Ann Joles

Sally Ann Joles of Akron, age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Carey's Young at Heart AFC Home in Caro. Sally was born January 8, 1932 in Fairgrove, the daughter of the late Earl & Laura (Fitchett) Randall. Sally's mother died when she was a young girl, and was raised by her step-mother, Mildred (Sharp) Randall. She graduated from Fairgrove High School with the class of 1951. Sally was united in marriage with Dougal Joles for over fifty-five years before his death in 2009. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Caro and liked traveling, gardening and canning. She also possessed a natural talent for art and enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, playing piano, and baking wedding cakes. Sally is survived by five children and their spouses, Laura & Gary Anderson of Caro, Mark & Judy Joles of Monroe, Kathy & Mike Hall of Fairgrove, Larry & Tammy Joles of Akron, Randy & Linda Joles of Caro; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna Benish of Bay City; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. A private burial will follow the service at a later time at the Wisner Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Cass River Pet Friendz or the Caro Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
