Sally Lobdell

Sally Jane Lobdell, age 57 years, of Luder Road, Caro, passed away unexpectedly after a tragic accident on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. Sally Jane Weber was born on February 15, 1950 in Tuscola County to Matt and Violet “Tootie” (Hepfer) Weber. Sally was a graduate of Akron-Fairgrove High School class of 1968. She was formerly married to Jerry Sharp and then later married Michael “Mick” Lobdell on July 23, 1985. Sally was a gentle and kind person who lived for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. Sally had been employed in retail for many years working first at Woolworths and most recently for Wal-Mart, where she was known for her dedication to her job. With great passion, Sally enjoyed country music, bingo and the casino. She also enjoyed sporting events, especially those involving the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers. She was an avid collector of teddy bears. Most of all Sally lived for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. Sally leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Michael “Mick” Lobdell; three children, Julie Ann Chapelo of Alma, James Matthew (Tina) Sharp of Bridgeport, Jeremy Lynn Sharp of Frankenmuth; five grandchildren, Kirsten and Klarissa Chapelo, Kendall, Tyson and Brandon Sharp; her mother, Violet “Tootie” Weber of Caro; two sisters, Shirley (Ray) Dennis of Caro and Sue (Bill) Gage of Caro; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Matt Weber. Sallys funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Leonard Astrowski from Grace Lutheran Church in Fairgrove officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Fairgrove. Friends may call at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, 1821 University Ave. W., Suite 5256 St. Paul, MN 55104.
