Samueletta Elizabeth Nagel

Samueletta “Samie” Nagel, 100, of Caseville, died Friday, November 7, 2014 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Samie was born December 27, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Samuel and Helen (Kliner) Hickman. She married Norman Nagel on February 10, 1934 in Avon, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Samie retired as a seamstress, having worked at Schuttler’s Clothing in Westlake, Ohio. She moved from Port Clinton, Ohio to Caseville in 1997 to be nearer to her daughter. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and volunteering with the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Larry) Moss of Caseville; grandchildren Cindi, Dan, Karen, Barbara, Rebecca,Steven and Reenie Thornton; 2 step-grandchildren Jay and Sarah; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandsons; and brother Daniel Oster of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sally Ann Glass; grandson Frank; step-great-grandson Logan; and siblings Robert Oster and Leotta Moran.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials in her memory may be made to the Caseville Community Chest. Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville is handling the arrangements.
