Sandra Ann Curl

Sandra Ann Curl of Caro, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Covenant Health Care – Cooper in Saginaw, with her family by her side. She was born October 3, 1943 in Custer, South Dakota, the daughter of the late William and Erma (Mitchell) Gould. Sandra grew up in South Dakota and married the love of her life, Marvin Allen Curl, on December 31, 1960. A few years later they moved the family to Michigan where they have been ever since. Sandra was a wonderful homemaker and always made sure her family was well taken care of; she was the glue that held everyone together. In her free time, she enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo, and crocheting – she made the most beautiful baby blankets. Sandra was known for her delicious meals and baked goods; you could not beat her peanut butter fudge. She loved being outside, tending to her flowers and garden, and collecting teacups. Sandra was known for her kindness and huge heart and was considered grandma to many.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of nearly sixty-four years, Marvin; children, Corina Curl (Gil Godinez), Robert Curl, Charlene (Craig) Vollmar, Brian Curl, and Jason Curl; grandchildren, Davin (Katherine), Todd (Michelle), Justin (Cara), Melissa, Amanda, Brandon (Kaitlyn), Ryan, Sam, Adam, Rodney, Jason, and Troy; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Aaron, Brandon, Rylee, Tyler, Wren, John, Todd, Karis, Annabell, Ayla,  and Izzy; great-great-grandchildren, Kade and Novalee; many extended family members; lifelong best friends, Lillian and Laureen. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tawni Nevaeh; grandson, Todd Withers; sister, Karen Gould.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. The family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Sandra’s service.
